Henrik Vibscov's Upcycled Store

After two successful locations in Copenhagen and Berlin, Scandanavian designer Henrik Vibskov opened his first US flagship in Soho. Designed and installed by Vibskov himself, the store was constructed out of an oversized container that travelled all the way from Denmark.

The wooden slate decoration is the store’s main focus and creates the majority of the fixtures; the container's corner pieces were deconstructed and reconstructed to create the rolling racks, large mirrors, fitting rooms and decorative 3-dimensional wall installation. Cubbies and jewellery cases were also created, showcasing the red tape and rope theme that continues throughout the boutique. We love that something fundamentally utilitarian could be repurposed into something beautiful and inspirational.
